The Revolutionary Comeback of Blackpink

Blackpink is one of the trending Kpop bands that took the chart by storm and spread its charm around the globe. People around the world, mainly the youth, are captivated by these Korean idols. And have turned into a huge mass of die-heart fans.


Only recently, Blackpink gained a major audience and turned into a major girl group who not only performed on Korean shows. But they have also performed on worldwide famous platforms like Coachella and have arranged concerts in several countries around the world. They have many fans who identify themselves as ‘Blinks’ and dedicate their love and devotion to the blackpink members.

Blackpink is a South Korean girl band formed by YG entertainment that consists of four member; Jennie, Rose,Jisoo and Lisa. They debuted on 8 August 2016 with their single Square one which spawned ‘Whistle’ and ‘Boombayah’. Their group has broken numerous records and has topped many charts including billboard. They are the first Kpop girl group who entered and topped the billboard’s emerging chart.  They had their first world tour in 2019 where they held concerts in major countries and were welcomed by an astounding number of people wherever they went.


Their music videos are also admired by millions of people. As they are an intricate mixture of eye-catching visuals, alluring props, enchanting make overs and unique choreographies. These special characteristics allow them to break the shackles of stereotype music videos. And allows them to create their own masterpiece that stands on a whole concept.

Blackpink has also released songs with some of the most popular artists in the world. In 2017, they released a song ‘Kiss and Makeup’ with collaboration with Dua Lipa which received 141 Million views. This shows that they are recognized by global artists as well as during their tour, Dua lipa attended one of their concerts and got a chance to meet the Blackpink members one on one.

Recently, they have also collaborated with Lady Gaga to produce a song called ‘Sour Candy’ for her new album Chromatica. This song was adored by the Blackpink fans as the powerful combination of vocals swept the audience away. The song debuted at number 8 in Australia which gave Blackpink the highest charting position in the country.

On June 26, 2020, Blackpink’s pre-single for their upcoming album was released called ‘How you like that’. The song had an amazing reception and received up to 82.4 million views in just twenty-four hours. The song currently has 248 million views which depicts their fan falling and their potential to become an even bigger group.


The music video received so many views also because the video possessed extraordinary visuals and background which gave a new face to the video.

YG entertainment has also confirmed that Blackpink will release its full-length album soon in late 2020 and will also release solo songs of the members. This broke a frenzy among blinks as this comeback took place after more than a whole year. The blinks deserve this because they waited with exceptional patience for the revolutionary comeback.
